I only drink 5L/100km, which means I can easily reach 1,400km on one diesel tank (a 406 with this engine even broke a world record back in 2002 with 2348 km on one tank on the open road!!). If like my current owners you hate having to refuel every week, I am the perfect mount for you.

I have done 248,500 km so far. I hear many rumors in camel trains about engines like mine easily going beyond 500,000 km with only standard maintenance and no major problem.

I have spent most of my life on the open roads of the South Island and have never towed anything, so my engine is in great condition for its age and mileage.

I have just been serviced (246,000) and have new rear shocks, front brake pads and rear left wheel bearing. My clutch & flywheel are almost new with only 30,000 km on the clock and my cambelt will only need attention in 2020 or when I hit 320,000 km.

If my current owners had kept me they would have thought of respraying my tailgate (see pictures) and fixing the slow leak in my air conditioning system (which works but needs to be regased a bit too often). They were mentally preparing themselves to have that done but had the opportunity to get another mount with a few more extras. They would love to keep 2 camels in the barn but don't have the space so I have to find another one.

My current WOF is valid until in Sept '17 (I qualify for yearly WOFs) and I have current RUC and rego.

I am the perfect camel if you are looking for a good, economic and reliable family station wagon. Being a diesel manual, I am much cheaper to run than a Ford Mondeo (that only comes in auto), Toyota Camry, Nissan Primera or Holden Comodore (that only come in petrol auto). I am also a very safe car compared to the competition back in the 2000s with 4 airbags at the front (ACC safety band 4 means cheap rego), excellent road holding capabilities and even have 'futuristic' features like automatic wipers!

Please feel free to contact my owners if you want a test ride!
